  • Was supposed to be open as emergency pharmacy. Was not. I really do not like that. Should be penalized. Feeling sick is bad. Having to cross the city to get to a closed pharmacy that should be open is even worst.

Probably the angriest pharmacist ever, don't go there if you like to be shouted at yourself.

I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience. It involved serious misconduct amounting to dishonesty, incompetence, and a grave breach of the pharmaceutical code of ethics. Let me explain: 1. I asked for a cream, specifying that it was a product intended for a breastfeeding woman. The saleswoman also offered me a medication. I reiterated that the treatment was for a breastfeeding woman. She told me that some doctors prescribed this medication for breastfeeding women, while others did not, and that the reason was that no studies had been conducted on breastfeeding women and that any potential harm had not been proven, yet she still offered it to me. Which I did not do. However, I read on the leaflet: "The passage of Daflon into breast milk has not been evaluated." It is therefore not recommended to take Daflon while breastfeeding without medical advice. Only your gynecologist can prescribe Daflon if you are breastfeeding, based on a benefit/risk assessment. Proper practice would have been not to offer me this product without consulting a gynecologist. 2. Furthermore, I requested a calendula tincture. I was given a calendula food supplement instead. Upon returning home, when I went to use it, and after opening the package, my wife noticed that it was a food supplement for oral administration and not a tincture for topical use. This was later confirmed to me by a pharmacy at another Multi Pharma pharmacy. I returned to the pharmacy to request a refund. In addition to the refusal of reimbursement, I was subjected to various statements that amounted to dishonesty, lies, and a serious breach of the pharmacist's professional standards: - The saleswoman maintained that the product was indeed a tincture and could be used as such. - The pharmacy manager intervened and told me that the product could be used as a mother tincture, with a dilution of 20 drops in half a glass of water. At this point, I emphasized that the instructions did not mention any possibility of topical use or dilution and restricted the product's use to oral administration. The manager told me that the information in the instructions was purely marketing material. I pointed out that the instructions were a legal document, based on scientific studies. The colleague continued to argue that the two products had the same composition, which was not the case since the concentrations and dosages were not specified. This is material normally supposed to be covered by the end of the first year of pharmacy studies. The manager then asked me to call the midwife who had prescribed the mother tincture to confirm that I had been given the wrong product. Not content with my confirmation that it was the wrong product, she then suggested I call her together and began arguing with the midwife. I then put an end to these pointless discussions, which had been going on for over half an hour, and demanded an immediate refund so I could buy it elsewhere and begin treating my wife. It was approximately 6:15 PM, 15 minutes before the pharmacies closed. I was initially offered the option of ordering the correct product for pickup the following day. I bought it elsewhere and received a possible refund the next day. Faced with such bad faith and incompetence, I left the product with him, explaining that I had already wasted enough time. I contacted the head office and am awaiting their response. That was about three weeks ago.
