This mosque is not suitable for mothers with strollers. For the first time in a long time, I tried going to the mosque with my two young children. Most people underestimate the effort it takes. Many imams encourage mothers to bring their children to our mosques from a very young age, yet a large part of the community doesn't think that way. My stroller wouldn't fit, while a woman's walker was no problem. I didn't understand why. I received a lot of stares, not all of them kind. Just like the woman who approached me without a "Salam" or "Bonjour" and put her hands on my stroller. I found that unpleasant, lacking even a minimum of courtesy. I don't want to discourage young mothers, but I would advise them to choose larger mosques instead. Before going to this mosque, I had read that the welcome was warm, yet I didn't feel at all welcome. It's so sad. Alhamdulillah, I know that Muslim behavior isn't like that. Thank you to the two or three women who offered me their help before I left. You are so kind. In any case, I was very discouraged and I left without praying Friday prayer.
