As a Dutch national, I have lived in this beautiful municipality for almost twenty-one years. The employees working for this municipality are always friendly and helpful. They have earned 5 stars!

That little sissy at reception also thinks the world is going through her (on wheels)! Does she really think we have nothing better to do than come back? Why can't she handle forms (like she DID during the coronavirus pandemic, and then stopped everyone, even if you were just picking something up)?

Today, with temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius, municipal workers built a driveway for my son in Pontfort. They did an excellent job. I don't think this could have been done better...well done! Marcel Verwaest from Pontfort.

Not terrible in terms of friendliness, but... 1. The municipality charges €5.20 if you no longer know your identity card PIN. In many places, this application is simply free! // (Guido Depadt - Open VLD, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, advocated for free and easy PIN code applications back in 2010. But municipalities like Retie apparently paid no attention to this, despite the fact that 92,136 Belgians had forgotten their identity card PIN between January 1 and July 9, 2010.) 2. The staff are not in a hurry to help customers. For instance, I had to be there a while ago, but I was forced to wait at the dual counter (not the reception), because the woman in question barely got out of her desk chair and was calmly telling the end of her story to the other employee. It all shows very little respect and makes it seem as if they have all the time in the world. And the customer? They just have to wait. Conclusion: if they move so slowly to help customers, but only put them *after* the "super important" story, you really have to wonder where that €5.20 goes. To the extra effort they make to fill out a piece of paper? Extra: I used to have a lot of trouble with people who had a personal grudge. Apparently, that was all possible in professional Retie...

Gevonden in de Kapelstraat. Lag op een electriciteitskast aan de kledingzaak op de hoek. Wordt op vrijdagmorgen 21 maart afgegeven op het politiekantoor te Retie.
