You would think that, with the environment in mind, it should be possible in 2024 to send your passport photo digitally or carry it with you on a USB drive. Apparently, we in Oudsbergen are stuck in the year 2000, and I actually have to get a photo printed on paper, schedule a new appointment (only available in two weeks)... because everyone has too much time these days.

I didn't need an appointment to create my new ID and it went smoothly, but now that it's just ready, I have to make an appointment. I'm from Brussels and I've never experienced anything like this at the municipality before. At various municipalities, you just walk in and then you have to wait your turn. But here, they want to do things differently again!
