Charming city hall on the main square and at the weekend there was a food festival Mechelen Culinair 🥙🍕🍔

Commissioned by Margaret of Austria and designed by Rombout Keldermans. The plan was to extend the Stadhuis further along the Grote Markt, but the money ran out after Margaret’s death and the plain stonework and simple gables of the rest of the building were only added several centuries later.
