Practically laid out in an old but beautiful building. Friendly staff and you can pick up at the counter without making another appointment (e.g. digital and international driving licence). Great.

A very beautiful building at Kerkplein 17. This building was formerly a mansion but has been used as the town hall since 1844. Thirty years later, it was purchased by the municipality. A thorough renovation followed in 1932-1933. Above the door, we see a relief of the Heist Swan. Also note the beautiful war memorial next to the entrance. The municipal staff and the tourist office were very helpful and friendly to me.
