Bad experience, got an appointment but because the person in question has changed work place and desk they couldn't find him. Wasted my time there and personnel was not helpful at all. "if he is not at his desk, then he is not here. Are you sure you have an appointment? Where is it? Oh there .. go to that side and then there". You follow the directions and then you come out with someone entirely different who then directs you to another person and then that person sends you around again. Conclusion: extremely unprofessional, unfriendly and people there seem to sit there against their will. Unhelpful and it was not just me that had a problem. A nice Turkish fellow had the same problem and a lady that was also sent 3 times around the complex. The only good thing there is that it is kind of sort of in a nice neighbourhood with a park near it. Very disappointed...

The worst office ever on the whole planet! Genk Council = Some sort of racism with overly bureaucratic and complex culture! Sometimes you feel you are not living in Europe, but at the third world! Staff are very rude - a bunch of intellectual snobs! First day you hear something from one staff - the next day you will hear something new from another one… all man-made rules are governing the city. After 4+ years spent providing several documents for a marriage certificate, our marriage certificate legalised at the Belgian Embassy has not yet been accepted! NEVER EVER AGAIN IN GENK! In conclusion: RUN AWAY FROM GENK & GENK COUNCIL! even if your workplace is in Genk. Otherwise, be prepared to be sent to wild goose chase!
