  Are those racist parades still going on these days? (The one defended by the mayor year after year despite countless horrific costumes) I would not want to visit a city that supports this.

  The neoclassical old town hall directly on the Grote Markt is certainly one of the best-preserved historical buildings in Aalst, but it is not as impressive as the neighboring Boerse van Amsterdam.
