  I advise against living in this town. We are not all equal; it depends on where you live in the town. The center is always favored, while the surrounding areas are neglected. Why these differences? Behind my house, it's a real mess. You should see the state of the roads and streets. It's supposed to be residential, with a property tax of 1400 euros, and yet you should see the poverty behind my house. It's sad.

  Too bad for the shopkeepers, but I won't be going to this town again. I keep getting a parking ticket every time I visit, even when there's no sign indicating that parking is payable! Soignies Town Hall, focus on running the services (like garbage collection, for example) that people pay for instead of ripping everyone off with parking fees!

  The center of Soignies has become inaccessible for certain types of vehicles deemed too polluting. So, I and many acquaintances will no longer shop in the various stores in the town center (butcher, brasserie, clothing stores, etc.). The shopkeepers were already struggling, and you've just stifled them even further, with the ultimate goal of eradicating them from the town center. Indeed, you're demonstrating your desire to rid the town center of all its small businesses, which don't bring in enough revenue for the municipality and, in the end, cause you more problems (management, complaints, etc.) than large shopping centers (Action, Delhaize, etc.) that fill your coffers. That's fair enough, I understand. But in this way, you're contributing to the impoverishment of a region and the impoverishment of its population. Soignies' former glory is long gone. You're now just a pale shadow of your former self.
