The population services department in Saint-Ghislain frankly disappointed me: the staff were unpleasant and the organization inconsistent. I had an appointment for a Saturday, but I was told it didn't exist, even though the same person had booked it two days prior. Today, I was free and went in before 4 p.m. When I canceled the appointment, I learned it was never recorded. Clearly a lack of professionalism. A few years ago, I lived in the municipality of Dour, and there, the staff is much more professional and attentive. It's like night and day, and at night, it's Saint-Ghislain! And that's coming from a Saint-Ghislain resident!

After pointing out that I had opened the letter for the identity card incorrectly, it pained her to see the paper in that state, the two codes perfectly visible, but apparently a paper unfolding service will take place at the town hall on Saturday morning 🤣, nonsense!

Honestly, nothing to complain about. The immigration office is very attentive, doesn't judge you, and helps you even if you don't understand French well; they do everything they can to understand you. For me, it's the best municipality. I don't know about the other departments, but the immigration office is the best! You deserve to be there. Have a good day.
