You absolutely must book an appointment! It's a shame that this wasn't mentioned during my first call. Luckily, things worked out in the end. I still think my municipality is particularly expensive when it comes to the paperwork we have to request through them! Neighboring municipalities provide certain documents, and ID cards/driver's licenses are half the price.

Quick service and the lady who greeted us at the population office was really very pleasant and professional.
