  • Beautiful place to stay and come to peace.

  • It's in this house, where my uncle Nestor Rosoux was born, that I keep my birth certificate. After being the home of the veterinarian Gérard, it became the town hall! I spent hours there consulting the archives, where I found my roots in Ossogne, Flostoy, and Porcheresse dating back to the 17th century! The oldest family in Havelange is the de Hiettine family. The Hastir, Jamaigne, Demblon, Riga, Beka, Piette, Chavee, and Pire families are descended from them.

Lax schedules and street maintenance leave much to be desired; residents have to maintain their own drains due to lack of funds. Soon we'll have to collect our own garbage and pay the tax. My wife sent an email to Marc, the environmentalist, but he never replied. It seems the staff and aldermen are conspicuous by their absence, as is the police service. When you call, you're told they'll forward your call. You need a special occasion to catch a glimpse of them. Our impression is that we pay our taxes and have a non-existent municipality. Thank you very much, Madam Mayor and Aldermen, for your discretion; we never see you.
