My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful—I genuinely loved everything about it. The room was spacious and full of character, with wooden floors, high ceilings, and huge windows that let in plenty of natural light. The large bathroom was equally impressive, and the bed was comfortable Of course, there’s always a little room for improvement, but the charm and atmosphere of the place more than make up for it. It feels unique and welcoming in a way that many modern hotels don’t. The breakfast was a real highlight: fresh-baked croissants, fresh juice, and a great start to the day overall. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, which made the whole experience even better. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

We had a delightful stay here for two nights. The building is beautiful and well decorated. Our room overlooked the street with a nice balcony view. We did not realize when booking that the building did not have air conditioning (or that there would be a heat wave coming through). So the room did reach 25-26 C which was warm for sleeping. Because of the balcony we could open the window but with tram right outside (so convenient!) it was too loud to do so until midnight when the last tram came through. For Americans, it was a little warm for comfort! So be aware if you're not used to no AC. Save your visit for the winter. For Europeans, others may be used to it. Other reviews have mentioned the "rude housekeeper" but we found her to be helpful and she did her best to communicate with us even though we do not speak French. She prepared us delicious eggs for breakfast along with all the other food options. We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. I can also tell from some of the older reviews that the owner has taken into consideration feedback from prior visitors to make changes to the rooms! We love to see that there is a response to complaints. They provided a list of recommendations for sites and restaurants nearby and thanks to that, I had some of the best meals in Brussels! As mentioned above, the location is fairly convenient for visiting other parts of the city with the tram right outside. The instructions given ahead of time also made it easy to enter the building and our room for check in at our own convenience! I would definitely stay here again (just perhaps not in the summer!)

A true art+live experience! We spent a long weekend in this early 19th century beautiful house and are grateful to the owner Paul who kept all the orginal decors and renovated it with care. Our room and bed were very confortable and the rich breakfast is served in the living room, with books and old photos of the original owner, the theatre playwriter Nestor de Thière. The neighborhood is very quiet, full of art nouveau houses, and well connected with the city center and the airport, with a tram stop just in front of the house. We hope to come back soon.

This is an old charming building with modern rooms. The entrance hall and stairs are super antique but in a good way. The rooms are modern simple woth a beautiful little bath. Access to the tram that takes you to city center is just ouside the door. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I will come back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is on a very picturesque street right by the tram, with plenty of cafes and restaurants near by. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and charming, with a modern shower (a nice shower is very important to me when I travel). The breakfast has a nice selection of fruit and pastries, and delightful fresh orange juice. I have seen a lot of people mention that the housekeeper doesn’t speak English and that this detracted from their experience. I am learning French and did my best to communicate, and it was certainly difficult, but that’s one of the privileges of foreign travel! If you are uncomfortable with the language barrier and prefer a more classic hotel experience, perhaps try elsewhere. But for me, this place was perfect. Lovely, simple, and I could come and go as I pleased. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Brussels. Oh, and they are very accommodating. They allowed me to leave my luggage behind for a few hours after check out when I went on to explore the city. Thank you for a lovely stay!
